From years ago, scholars believe that the story of the Noah's ark mentioned in the scriptures stems from an older story that existed centuries ago in ancient Babylon. All of these scholars beliefs derive from a discovery made by a post-World War II man in Mesopotamia, modern day Iraq

Not long ago, a 4,000-year-old tablet from Mesopotamia (now Iraq) was decoded by researchers. The results of this ancient tablet provided researchers with new details about Noah's ark. According to Old Testament teachings, Noah placed a number of humans and a pair of each animals on the ship to rescue them from the danger of flooding. But the words written on the ancient tablet with a cuneiform line tell a different story. The mud tablet is currently held in the British Museum and was recently shown to the public. In the coming days, researchers are will be re-examine the ancient instructions for building the Noah's ark from this ancient tablet. To find out, if Noah's ark was capable of moving? or not?

Irving Fankel is one of those who helped decrypt the ancient tablet. He devotes several years to the study of this ancient tablet; and finally wrote a book called "The ship before Noah, Decoding the Story of the Flood“. The ancient tablet was found by a man in the Middle East after World War II and handed over to Frankel's father. The tablet is light brown, about the size of a cellphone, and writed in cuneiform. According to Fankel, the tablet is one of the most important documents ever made available to humans. "My heart was pounding, after decoding it became clear, how different the actual ship is from the old texts." This is the phrase Fankel uttered. The ship, mentioned in ancient texts, is a Barque made of Sedges or willow and wrapped around it in leather or linoleum.   It was designed to be used in raging and was used in ancient Iraq.   Fankel's discovery excited other researchers. According to David Owen, professor of Near Eastern studies at Cornell University, this was a wonderful discovery.

How to build this ship is outlined in this ancient tablet, the size of a soccer field, made of rope, fastened with wooden ribs. Fankel and other researchers are skeptical of the ship's ability to float in the water. Fankel then began to build a ship from these instructions, and eventually made it, as you can see in the picture above. According to him, this is exactly the ship Noah made but smaller in size. Irving Fankel is well aware of the results of his discovery. My claims, he says, will astonish believers in the Bible. This had already happened before.

In the 19th century, when British Museum researchers deciphered the Babylonian flood story as a myth, many believers were upset and protesting the results of their research.

No doubt you know that, one of the Turkish pilots took several aerial photos of Mount Ararat during the mission, which led to the discovery of Noah's ark.
