This cave known as mother Shipton cave, and has been a place of living one of England’s most famous wizard. And the wall next to the cave tells strange stories about her. It is said that in the distant past around 1488, a poor girl named Agatha lived alone in the area. She becomes pregnant at the age of 15 with a man who was not her husband. When the townspeople find out about it they decided to execute him. But Agatha takes refuge in a cave in the forest, There she gives birth to her child and then leaves her to a nanny and goes to another land.

Nanny with the newborn baby stays in the cave for two years and then leaves for the city. But this newborn girl is not an ordinary girl. She has extraordinary powers that distinguish her from others. She was so weird that some people thought she is cursed. She married to a carpenter at the age of 24 and never had children!. But because she was a good woman people called her Mother Shipton. In 1641 there were more than 50 different versions of the book about her. And many of predictions come true during her life and even centuries after her death. It is interesting to know that many tragic events in America, Australia and England are linked with her name. Even today many magicians and prophets use her symbolic statue as a symbol of power. As long as she was a young girl, she had a special power that could have foreseen the terrible events of the future. She correctly predicted many events, and her name quickly spread throughout England. Her predictions include the Great Fire in London (which called London on fire), and the collapse of the Spanish fleet in 1588 and the rise of modern technology. Mother Shipton had even correctly predicted the day of her death and died in 1561 at the age of 73. She also predicted the dissolution of the Sixth Catholic Church, the fall of Cardinal Wesley, the untimely death of Henry VI son and the rise of Queen Elizabeth to the throne of England.

According to documentation she was coarse limbs and grumpy and had a large head. She had a sharp look and she was looked like wizards. After mother Shipton became famous the people named a butterfly after mother Shipton name. The reason for this naming is the butterfly's scary appearance, which was exactly looks like mother Shipton.

But as I said at the beginning next to this cave is the famous England wall, the most prominent feature of this wall is the stone objects which hangs from it. But how can these objects which may have once been alive, be trapped in a black spell to create this terrifying sight. At first glance this wall may look scary and weird. Many people who lived in the distant past in this area believed that touching these statues would turn them into stones. They even considered the water from the rocks is cursed, believing it would be forbidden to drink it, because they would be trap by black magic. But now I want to share with you the truth of this black magic. You may definitely be surprised to hear it! I have to tell you the black magic of these stone sculptures is nothing but a coating of carbonate chalice and other minerals! In fact the water in this area is rich in minerals, so that it can form a coating of stone on any object you hanging from the wall after months or even weeks. One of her famous prophecies is about a bridge near the cave that mother Shipton predicted, the world would be end when the bridge collapsed. Since that time the bridge has been called End of the World.
