A scan revealed the secret of the mummy's coffin from 600 BC. At first, archaeologists thought the mummy inside the casket was a fetus that was about 18 weeks gestation. Experts announced in year 2016 that the youngest specimen of mummified embryo from ancient Egypt was discovered in a discovery. Pregnancy was between 16 and 18 weeks, according to the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge. And that specialists used a specific type of CT scan to determine the age of the fetus.

The coffin, which was only 44 cm long, was excavated in Giza in 1907 by the British School of Archeology. Museum officials assumed that the contents of the casket were organs that were usually removed during mummified. But when X-ray imaging did not reveal anything, they referred to a more accurate micro-CT scan for better examination
